About the company & role

The company is a specialist in critical power solutions, covering UPS and static transfer technologies supporting mission‑critical environments across the UK. This home‑based role covers the South West territory and focuses on driving growth through direct sales and key account management, working closely with internal technical teams to position the company’s critical power portfolio with large end‑users, design‑and‑build contractors, and consultants. Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, you’ll be a visible ambassador for the company’s technology and an engine for regional opportunity creation.

Responsibilities/requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales for the company’s critical power product range (UPS/STS) across the South West area.

  • Build, support and grow channel distribution, targeting specialist power partners to align with the company’s sales strategy.

  • Produce quotations and manage an active quote portfolio for major critical power projects.

  • Work day‑to‑day with large end‑users, design‑and‑build contractors and specifiers to promote and position the critical power offer.

  • Secure specification of the company’s products within RFQs for major UK projects.

  • Deliver CPDs and technical seminars to national consultancy groups; present new technology and its benefits.

  • Organise industry‑specific events in‑territory with support from Application & MarComs teams.

  • Localise sales/technical collateral for the UK market; capture and feed back market intelligence to inform offer development.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in Critical Power, Energy Efficiency, Power Control & Safety, and Energy Storage to maximise cross‑sell opportunities.


Requirements

  • Strong track record selling Critical Power UPS and STS solutions; experience with the IT channel or specialist Power VARs is advantageous.

  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering background is essential; technical degree (or equivalent) preferred.

  • Comfortable delivering CPDs/presentations and engaging with consultants, contractors and end‑users.

  • CRM familiarity and disciplined pipeline/forecast management.

  • UK‑wide stakeholder engagement mindset with the flexibility to travel ~60% of the time.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (Dependent on experience)
